About Us

Lewis County Central Elementary is located in the rural river town of Vanceburg, Kentucky. Currently, we have approximately 500 students enrolled in our preschool through sixth grade classes.
 
In addition to the core content, which is covered daily in each subject area, students are also given the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities. Activities include basketball, cheerleading, academic team and the art club.
 

Mission

The mission of Central Elementary is to promote a learner-centered education in a cheerful, pleasant atmosphere.  The students are encouraged to develop artistically, academically, physically, socially and emotionally: fostering a life-long desire to learn.
