The Lewis County Public Schools serves approximately 380 students with Individual Education Programs (IEP) in accordance with federal and state law. Individual Education Program (IEP) goals for Special Education students are developed to address academic, social/emotional, and transition needs (e.g., changing to a different academic program, progressing from one level to another, or starting a career).
In addition to special education teachers and instructional assistants, service delivery staff include occupational, physical and speech therapists.
