Veteran’s Day Ceremony 2021

On Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 9:00 am, the Lewis County High School will be holding our 23rd annual Veterans Day Ceremony. Our ceremony is one of the most important public gatherings that LCHS holds. The JROTC cadets will conduct the ceremony, call veterans, greet them in, honor the nation’s flag with a color guard, and do the fallen soldiers table ceremony.

JROTC Rifle Team Compete at Camp Perry National Rifle Competition

Lewis County, KY: On September 18, 2021, the Lewis County JROTC rifle team traveled to Camp Perry in Port Clinton, Ohio to attend the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) Monthly air rifle match. Cadet Lieutenant Colonel Kaylee Lott, Cadet Major Nadilee Buckler, Cadet Major Kendra Ashcraft, Cadet Command Sergeant Major Alexa Arnold, and Cadet Private Kaitlynn Arnold all made the long five-hour trip there. Financial Aid Information Session for Parents

On Thursday, September 23 at 6:00, Lewis County High School will be hosting a Financial Aid Information Session for senior parents. This session will be very beneficial for parents who need information on FAFSA and other forms of financial aid for college. This will be held in the LCHS auditorium.  All seniors and their parents are encouraged to attend.  All attendees must wear a mask and bring your own paper and pen for notes.

The Rural Health Scholars program is a competitive applicant program that helps to prepare students for entry into a health career training program at any post-secondary institution. Additionally, the Rural Health Scholars program helps to strengthen a student's application for college or vocational school, and assist in making decisions regarding the types of health career programs available.

Parking Lot Instructions

Please review the LCHS Parking Lot Instructions for Student Drop-Off, Student Pick-up, and Student Parking. Due to construction and limited amount of parking, for the first week of school only seniors are permitted to drive to school and only juniors who participate in extra-curricular activities are permitted to drive to school.

COVID-19 Football Notice 8-17-2021

Due to positive COVID 19 test results the Lewis County Health Department has recommended the LCHS football team suspend all activities until Monday, August 23. Any player showing symptoms should contact their physician or the health department.

COVID-19 Football Notice

Lewis County High School officials were recently informed that a member of the LCHS football team has tested positive for COVID 19.  Members of the team and coaching staff will NOT be required to quarantine.  The Lewis County Health Department stated that activities have been held outdoors and all CDC guidelines have been followed.

Supplemental School Year Information

The state legislature and Governor Andy Beshear recently passed legislation that allows all students (K-12) the opportunity to participate in a supplemental school year, a replacement year for the 2020-2021 school year.
