School-Based Decision Making Council

The mission of Tollesboro Elementary School is to ensure a safe learning environment with a challenging curriculum by caring, well-trained staff in order for every child to experience lifelong success.

The purpose of Tollesboro Elementary SBDM Council is to focus on student achievement. All school programs and initiatives are based on reputable researched-based practices, including those outlined in Kentucky's Standards and Indicators for School Improvement. The Council invites community-wide participation in understanding and meeting school challenges. By demonstrating supportive and effective teamwork, the Council productively works together toward achieving goals and positive results for students!  Membership of the council includes parents, teachers, and an administrator of the school.
