Air Rifle Marksmanship is a sport of control and discipline. In competition, each shooter fires a .177 caliber precision air rifle in the standing, prone, and kneeling position. In a match, the shooter fires 10 shots at a target in each position. Each match is worth 300 points, 0-10 points for each shot, depending on accuracy. Rifle Team practice is Tuesday through Thursday from 3pm until 5pm, during the school year.
