Year Book Fun - Please participate.

A Note from Mrs. Riley The Lewis County High School Yearbook sponsor.

If you would be willing to help me out with this, the yearbook staff and I would greatly appreciate it. We’d rather have our students in the yearbook than to fill it with generic pandemic spreads. Thank you in advance.

After you have your picture and write up, please email that to Mrs. Riley at [email protected]
I am asking teachers, club sponsors, and coaches (for the sports that were cancelled) to ask your students/members/players to take a picture of themselves and submit it for the yearbook. If you would like to particiapte, please feel free, we would greatly appreciate it.

For students doing NTI, they can have someone take a picture of themselves doing their NTI work and submit a short explanation about what they are doing, how all this is affecting them, how they feel about it, what they wish they could be doing instead, if they’d rather be in school, etc. Any of those responses would be great.

For club members, we ended up with very few club groups, since those are usually taken at the end of the year. I have some pictures of pep club at games. I have FFA pictures from their trip. There is a group picture of them. I have JROTC, Raiders, and Rifle Team. I DON”T have any group pictures of BETA, FBLA, STOP Coalition, art club, HOSA Teen Leadership, Skills USA, and any I may have missed. If any club sponsor has any pictures you can send me that would be wonderful. If not, would it be possible for you to reach out to your club members to ask them to submit pictures of themselves? I can put those together to make a group picture.

For sports teams, I need pictures from baseball, softball, track, tennis, and any other that I may have missed. Please let me know if I did. I’m going by what was in last year’s yearbook. For these, maybe ask the players to take a picture of themselves in their back yard with their ball, glove or bat, or their tennis racket, or posing as they would if they were ready to play their sport. Also, they could do two pictures, and the second one could be what they are doing instead of playing the sport they love. They could also add in a sentence or two about how this has affected them, how they feel about their season being taken away from them, especially the seniors, etc.
