Preschool Start Date Change

After discussion and careful thought and consideration due to an increased number of children who still need to be screened, setting up RtI, home visits, and preparing for our new COS (Child Outcome Summary), I have decided to move the start date for preschool out one week.  Preschool will now begin on Wednesday, August 24, NOT August 17.

• COS is our new rating scale that will be used to determine the extent to which a child's functioning on each outcome is appropriate given his or her age, and whether that child made progress toward age appropriate behavior.

• COS is now required by the KDE for local, state, and federal data collection and reporting.

• Home Visit Reminder – Both the teacher and the assistant will go on home visits.  NO ONE should ever do a home visit alone!
