The Kentucky Department of Education has once again collaborated with the Center for Instructional and Behavioral Research in Schools
at the University of Louisville to produce high quality online modules that meet the requirements for PBIS training under 704 KAR
7:160. This year’s topic is: Preventing Restraint and Seclusion.
The seven videos summarizing full implementation of school-wide
PBIS as part of KDE’s steps to prevent the Use of Physical Restraint and Seclusion in Public Schools have been posted to the website
and are now available for viewing by all Kentucky school staff. Simply click on the blue link just above and watch the 7 video
Note that each module ends with a set of questions that can be used as a self-reflection or as an engagement starter for small
groups or entire faculties. There are no required quizzes this year.
The 2017 video content can be found
Previous PBIS modules are still available
through PBS TeacherLine and can be used as training tools for school personnel in conjunction with new content.
